Spring is finally here and we are on our way into summer!! Spring is my favorite time of year; flowers blooming everywhere in all colors, patio time during a Saturday brunch with friends, and endless outdoor activities. One of my main passions, besides the fashion world of course, is the outdoors in spring. I particularly enjoy horseback riding at JuRo Stables, in Mt. Juliet. What a great way to disconnect from the dayto-day and just be.
Springtime also means wedding season, which is what this particular issue of Wilson Living is all about. If you’re not a bride, there’s a section I made just for you on pages 52 and 53. As a professionalwardrobe stylist, I have included suggestions on what to wear to a daytime, formal or even destination wedding. Have no fear, all your bases are covered for an excellent wedding season.
I had a fabulous interview with custom bridal designer Olia Zavozina, who creates and makes beautiful bridal gowns by hand. She offers great advice for the bride-to-be in searching for that special dress. It is your one big day and Olia’s advice can take your dream dress to another level. She also has helpful tips on bridesmaids’ dresses for this season.
With so many things to consider, you could easily overlook some important details when planning for your day. Therefore I have asked experts from different fields to provide us with information on how to properly plan ahead so that no detail is missed.
I just returned from New York Fashion Week. While there, I had an exclusive backstage pass with the show I produce, Fashion News Live www.FashionNewsLive.com. As promised last issue, I am going to give you access to “seen & heard” designer and celebrity happenings from all of the biggest fashion shows on pages 50 and 51.
Enjoy the spring, get outside and add a little sunshine to your life.
