Wilson Living Magazine Founders - Angel Kane & Becky Andrews“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.” – Oprah Winfrey

Another year has come and gone and with it many memories have been made.

From the election of a new County Mayor to the devastating few days when our County was gripped with destructive floods. To the community led efforts to rebuild Don Fox Park, and another amazingly successful Wilson County Fair. It’s been a year of tragedy and triumph; of rebuilding and transformation … a year of hardships for some but one we can also be proud of.

As we go into 2011, it’s time to celebrate the old and the new in Wilson County. We are pleased to bring you the news that the Lebanon Square, which already is on its way to revitalization, has two brand new neighbors! Architect Mike Manous, along with local developer and builder Hal Bone, have partnered to bring back “The Arcade.” Ken Beck not only reminisces about “The Arcade” of years gone by with these two gentlemen, but also gives us a sneak peak about their exciting plans for its future.

You certainly will not want to miss another “Meet Your Neighbor” where our very own, Whispering Bill Anderson welcomes us into his home and hearth, explaining why he has chosen to make Wilson County home. Mr. Anderson graced our cover this issue, and we were tickled to find out he is a Wilson Living Magazine fan!

And we are pleased to announce that Chris and Lisa Tramel, founders of The Middle Tennessee Times newspaper, have joined Wilson Living Magazine. Chris and Lisa will be bringing us news from our surrounding counties each and every issue with their new column, “Tennessee Back Roads”.

And of course, all your favorites are here too: Erin’s style tips for the new year are sure to please everyone, while Stacey’s scrumptious recipes will delight any palette and be sure to take a moment to reflect with Roy about life’s ups and downs.

We hope you enjoy this issue and look forward to bringing you another year of all you want to know from Wilson County and beyond.

Until next time, keep reading!
