Just a couple of miles across Hwy 109 is one of my all time favorite places to visit.
If you’ve not been to Clairrene’s Treasures in Mt. Juliet, you need to stop soon. When looking for a special piece for a client, this is always my first stop. Claireene has over 10,000 square feet of goodies, and her display is ever-changing. While the toys outside may be deceiving, the treasures inside will make you lose track of time.
Claireene has antiques, items from estate sales, and her own one-of-a-kind creations. If you can dream it, she can build it. She is building some shelves for a client of mine now. Take a look at these kitchen islands she has in shop:
I got to know Claireene Hale a couple of years ago when I stumbled upon her shop. I say stumbled, because like many, I had passed her shop almost daily without realizing what was inside. But Claireene’s has been there about 12 years. I stopped by because I noticed this sign:
Being married to a car man, I’m always on the lookout for someone who likes to do a little trading and Claireene and I traded chairs that day. After talking with her for a while, I found out her husband was in the car business as well, and in fact our husbands knew each other. Small world huh?
I love my chairs that I got that day, and have added many of her treasures to my collection over the years. I love seeing what she has new in store and what projects she is working on. Besides creating new pieces, she takes older pieces and makes them new again with a fresh coat of paint and some new hardware.
And there are accessories galore:
When my friends Bill and Phyllis over at The Chronicle of Mt. Juliet decided to run a “Best of the Best” contest in the paper this year, Claireene’s was named the Best Antique Store in Mt. Juliet! It wasn’t a surprise to me though- I’ve known that for quite a while!
You can find Claireene’s at:

Stop by next time you’re in Mt. Juliet and tell Claireene I sent ya! You’ll be glad you did.
