Happy Spring Ladies!!

This issue was so much fun for me. Some of my good friends are inside the Style section as models. They really brought their A game to the table!

WLM - The Bachelors of Wilson CountyWhether you are engaged, dreaming of the day ahead or happily married, you will find there is something in this edition for everyone. The dresses that our breathtakingly beautiful model, Jami Stallings (former Miss Indiana), is wearing, were hand selected by the Wilson Living ladies which definitely included my input as well. I had the opportunity to try the dresses on before Jami so as to get an idea of “the look” we wanted for the magazine. It was so very fun and reminiscent of my time modeling wedding gowns for celebrity designers, Amsale and Kenneth Poole, in Manhattan at their Madison Avenue flagship store. Ah memories …

Amy Rich Photography worked hours and made the process effortless as she took all of the gorgeous wedding photos in this section. Her photography really captures the essence of the models and quality of what we wanted to bring to you. Becky Andrews, one of the magazine’s co-owner’s, worked hours on the conception of this piece … and as you’ll see, the preparation paid off.

In honor of the wedding issue, I also decided to give a special section to salute to “all the single ladies” out there, (pause for a Beyonce moment), searching high and low, low and high for the best bachelors of Wilson County. These bachelors were selected not only for their special charm and handsome looks but also for their outstanding character … and some for their humorous and fun disposition. Take a look through the Style pages in this special Bachelor issue to see who you might know … and who you may need to meet.

For soon-to-be brides, I hope you are focused on the quality of your relationship rather than all the surface planning. Take this advice and column as an informative yet lighter side reprieve from your serious wedding planning.

And, oh yes, to all the single ladies … “Happy Hunting.”
