Yes, I do know the weather has been unseasonably warm this month, thank you very much. But I’m not done with winter yet. In fact, I’m one of those weird people whose favorite seasons are fall and winter. So in that “winter-y I’m still doing a snow dance” spirit, I want to share one of my favorite Pinterest inspired ideas I’ve made this season. It’s a hot chocolate bar. Now why didn’t I think of that?
I made one at Christmas where you can go all out with fun colors and candy, but am changing it for Valentine’s Day. All you need are a few glass jars; any will do. I had these in my cabinet…
And for Valentine’s Day I found these heart-shaped marshmallows:
Now you’re ready for the perfect cup anytime! I put mine on a cake pedestal to give it a little height and interest, but a pretty tray would be nice too.
And in anticipation of just one snow this year, here’s a tip to keep you safe on icy steps.
For icy doorsteps in freezing temperatures; get warm water and add Dawn dish washing liquid. Cover your steps with the mixture, and they won’t refreeze.
